I Love Being Wicked.
My friend from out of town wanted some chocolate to take home with him so I took him to Mr Chocolate’s place Jacques Torres. He bought out the store! But he didn’t buy the wicked hot chocolate mix. I was reluctant to purchase the hot chocolate because I have heard many people rave about how great their own hot chocolate was and I have yet to be impressed.
The best hot chocolate to me has always been what they call Cocoa Tea, a recipe from the Caribbean Island of Jamaica. Anyway I purchased a cup of the Wicked Hot Chocolate because I was cold. I must say the Wicked Hot Chocolate taste exactly like the Cocoa Tea (minus the Hot pepper) I loved and could hardly find in the states. The only time I had this cocoa tea was if a Caribbean friends grandmother made it for me. You could taste the Allspice, Cinnamon and Nutmeg mixed in perfect combination in the Wicked Hot Chocolate and the little pepper kick at the end, a nice touch. I became an instant convert. My friend from out of town then decided to buy a small cup of the Wicked Hot Chocolate and now he is converted. So I am now a wicked girl and He is a wicked Guy.
And now, when he is ready to go home, he regrets not buying the wicked hot chocolate mix and is “having a moment”.
Anyway, if you decide to get the mixture and try to make the Wicked Hot Chocolate at home, follow the directions below and you will have a tasty perfectly mixed, thick warm and “chocolate-y” hot chocolate that may become your next addiction…
For the Wicked Hot Chocolate, use 2% milk. Heat the milk first, add the wicked hot chocolate powder mixture as directed (I think it is about 1 cup), ensure the chocolate powder mix is melted in the hot milk and then heat the mixture. So you are heating 2x!. Delicious. Check out the video I added.
